Caroline went missing in Sheffield in the early hours of Sunday morning and police believe the body they found to be hers.

Police say the body, found in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, has yet to be formally identified but they believe it to be that of the missing student.

Caroline Everest, 18, was last seen at Corporation nightclub in Milton Street at about 2.30am on Sunday.

Police are now trying to determine the circumstances surrounding her death and are appealing for anyone who might have seen her to come forward.

It is understood that none of Caroline’s friends saw her leave the nightclub, but a staff member said she had seen the teen at the bar asking for water that evening at the bar.

The teenager was wearing a black dress and cardigan, and carried a black handbag with a cream strap.

Anyone with information is asked to contact South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 998 of November 22.

There is also a large police presence in the area.

A message left on flowers at the scene of the discovery read: “RIP Caroline”.

“Our thoughts at this time are with Caroline’s family and close friends”.

University of Bath chemistry student Christopher Taylor, 21, died in the river in January 2014 after a night out to celebrate the end of exams. All three died following nights out in the city.

Officers have now released a photograph of 18-year-old student Caroline Everest taken inside the Corporation nightclub in Sheffield.
