Carrick: Injuries no excuse for Manchester United
According to Goal.com, the former Queens Park Rangers defender thinks that Manchester United players are “playing it safe because they are afraid of the consequences if they try to take chances”.

Meanwhile, Man United have struggled to score goals, with the club on a five-game winless streak following their 2-1 loss to Bournemouth on Saturday.
Hernandez joined United in 2010 from Guadalajara and was named their player of the year in his debut campaign at Old Trafford under Sir Alex Ferguson.
There was speculation that some fans might be planning a similar stunt after a picture of a Van Gaal banner appeared on social media on Tuesday.
The striker’s fortunes were in sharp contrast to that of Manchester United, as the club was ousted from the Champions League following their defeat at the hands of Wolfsburg. But the Mexican saw his playing time curtailed during Moyes’s reign, before being forced to leave the club twice by Van Gaal, firstly on loan to Real Madrid and then on a permanent basis to Bayer Leverkusen.
Speaking to Sean O’Rourke on RTÉ Radio 1 this morning, Dunphy said Van Gaal’s position was now untenable though, on the bright side, he reckons Jose Mourinho won’t be long in joining his old mentor on the scrap-heap. Nabbing three points from the South Coast minnows was to provide the club with a flawless opportunity to launch their Premier League title tilt proper.
“I felt confident from the very first day”.
Since joining Leverkusen, Hernandez has scored 13 goals in all competitions and could face United again in the latter stages of the Europa League.
The player has been quizzed about his exit from United and revealed that Van Gaal didn’t see a place for him in his squad and told him he could depart.
“[The fear factor] comes with winning games”.

It is a precarious situation and United’s board face a huge decision if they do plan to let go of van Gaal.
