I didn’t know Debbie Reynolds, although one of my friends dated her.

U.S. channels have reacted to the passing of Hollywood legends Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, with HBO moving a new documentary forwards and OWN re-airing an exclusive interview with the pair. “Carrie’s singing moved Debbie to tears”.

Reynolds and Fisher celebrate springtime in 1959. In a touching post on Instagram, the young star shared a sweet throwback photo of the three generations of actresses along with a message to those who have sent her messages of condolence.

On Friday the Los Angeles coroner’s office released Fisher’s body to her family.

A day later, her mother, Debbie Reynolds, died after suffering a stroke.

Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher arrive at the premiere of HBO’s documentary “Wishful Drinking” at Linwood Dunn Theater at the Pickford Center for Motion Study on December 7, 2010 in Hollywood, California.

While the world grieved over the death of Carrie Fisher last week, and then her mother, iconic actress Debbie Reynolds, the following day, it seems likely no one mourned more than Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd.

Joely said she had been texting with Carrie just before she got on the plane. “Like, you would walk in and she would just hand you something in her room”.

The trio made their last public appearance together at the 2015 Screen Actors Guild Awards.

“But mostly, she would have wanted us to celebrate her life, her words, and for Billie to be whole”.

However, no matter how devastated you were by either or both of these unbelievable women’s deaths, your emotions pale in comparison to those of Billie Lourd.
