Carrie Underwood, Sam Hunt to Collaborate on Grammy Awards

The Recording Academy earlier announced solo performances from artists including Kendrick Lamar, the rapper who leads the Grammys in nominations, and English ballad singer Adele, whose latest album has broken sales records but was released too late for Grammy contention. The two are among several artists recently announced as duet partners for the 2016 event.

Country music’s star power will now shine a little brighter on Grammy night.

James Bay is nominated for three awards: Best New Artist, Best Rock Song for “Hold Back The River”, and Best Rock Album for Chaos And The Calm.

“I’ve had a lot of unbelievable moments in the past year, but I genuinely didn’t expect I’d get to add “performing at The GRAMMYs” to the list”, Bay said in a statement. A special tribute to 2016 MusiCares Person of the Year Lionel Richiewill highlight the GRAMMY winner’s wide-ranging career.

Tori Kelly is nominated for Best New Artist.

Don’t miss a moment of the 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards, hosted by entertainment icon and two-time GRAMMY Award victor LL COOL J, when the ceremony is broadcast live from the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles on Monday, Feb. 15 at 8/7c on CBS.

Underwood is nominated this year for Best Country Solo Performance for “Little Toy Guns”, a track from her compilation album “Greatest Hits: Decade #1”.

Hunt also will be performing at the Grammys for the first time, but Underwood, a seven-time victor and current nominee, is no newcomer to the music industry’s most prestigious awards show.
