Carson: Money pouring in after Muslim remarks

Lindsey Graham: I think this shows that Dr. Carson is not ready to be commander in chief.

For Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson, months of robocalls, campaign speeches, and merchandise sales paled in comparison to the campaign donations he received after a series of anti-Muslim remarks.

I am very disappointed that Dr. Carson would suggest that a Muslim should not become president of the United States, Sanders said in a statement released late Sunday.

“Mr. Carson, what if someone told you that you can’t become president because of your color?” He’s saying, personally, I am not going to support someone who is Muslim because I do not believe that coincides with my beliefs and what America is about.

Carly Fiorina: You know, it says in our Constitution that religion can not be a test for office. “I don’t care [because] they are still human beings and we should treat them with respect”.

However, Clinton’s aide Huma Abedin, who is a Muslim, was a bit more forthcoming in her first ever tweet, stating, “You can be a proud American, a proud Muslim, and proudly serve this great country“.

You and I may agree with him.

Rush Limbaugh: Sharia law is so inconsistent with the U.S. Constitution, Ben Carson could not be more right.

O’Reilly went on to ask Carson if he thought the tenets of Islam “as described in the Quran” line up with the “tenets of Judeo-Christian philosophy that the Founding Fathers used to forge the Constitution, our laws and our nation?”

After the past few days the answer has to be an undeniable yes, and throw Ben Carson in the same pot.

We don’t put people at the head of our country whose faith might interfere with them carrying out the duties of the Constitution”.

Carson said Wednesday that he has continued to receive support since saying that he would not support a Muslim in the White House.

Anti-Islam remarks by some Republican candidates have drawn widespread criticism from the Muslim groups and leaders.

Carson pointed to nations where women are not allowed to drive, their court testimony is worth less than men and they are treated like “chattel”.

So if a Muslim were to reject them, under Shariah, he must be considered an apostate (one who has forsaken his religion), and therefore, under the same law, must be killed. Carson’s argument – “Trust me, that’s what I meant even if it’s not what I said” – is a tough one to swallow without any further proof of his intent.
