Carson tumbles in Iowa as Cruz leaps forward
According to the same source, Ted Cruz was the choice of 23 percent of likely Republican voters in the new poll, from Quinnipiac University, following Mr. Trump at 25 percent and ahead of Mr. Carson at 18 percent, while Senator Marco Rubio of Florida was in fourth with 13 percent.

The results come as a surprise to many people who have been following the presidential race.
I give you, Ben Carson’s response Monday to Trump’s allegations, a response that amounts to “Yeah, I saw that too”.
While rumours have circulated on the internet for years that American Muslims celebrated the attacks in Paterson, New Jersey, police officials and religious leaders denied it at the time.
“He does not believe Muslim Americans in New Jersey were celebrating the fall of the Twin Towers”, Carson spokesman Doug Watts said.
In a previous rally in Ohio, Trump said he had a view of the WTC from his apartment. “It was a mistake on his part and he clearly wasn’t really thinking about New Jersey, he was thinking about the Middle East”, Watts told ABC.
And while multiple fact-checks over the last two days have said there is no evidence or confirmed reports of such mass cheering in Jersey City or elsewhere in New Jersey, Trump told the crowd he received hundreds of phone calls and tweets from people saying they saw celebrations over the terrorist attacks.
It doesn’t matter that the newspaper article doesn’t back up Trump’s claim that he saw this happen on TV. “If they break in that agreement with him, as they say, ‘woe be on them.'” The super PAC leading the charge against Trump is New Day for America, which supports Republican Ohio Gov. John Kasich.
“No sensible analyst rejects this possibility, and plenty of them, like me, are not wondering if but when it will happen”, he continued.
Trump said, “This morning, they asked me a question”.
“I don’t think it needed to get to that level”, Carson responded. Would I approve waterboarding? His numbers have risen despite criticism about his business record and backlash from his contentious statements about immigrants and Muslims, among other things.
Cruz and Rubio both made 9-point gains in their net favorability scores from a similar survey in late October, while Carson’s has dropped by 12 points.

But it was not just that issue that had caused confusion. “One thing nearly all Iowa Republicans agree upon is that Syrian refugees should not be allowed into the United States or into Iowa”, Brown said. But I’m sure Trump was already on the radar of these hate groups, which he has refused to denounce, given his infamous racist birther campaign versus President Obama. “Stop listening to the narrative of those who want to try to create doubt in people’s minds”.
