Carson: US shouldn’t have a Muslim president

Carson didn’t give the politically correct answer.

Jennifer Measel of Waynesville, Ohio, who was selling T-shirts to benefit Carson’s campaign, said he “is resonating with everyone. For that I apologize unreservedly to all that were offended”.

Carson’s campaign has been under scrutiny since he declared on NBC’s Meet The Press that a Muslim should not be president of the United States.

“No, I don’t. I do not”.

However, he clarified that he was referring to a Muslim who espouses the Islamic Sharia law which, he said, is inconsistent with the US Constitution.

What he did say, and with which I totally agree, is that it is not advisable that Americans elect someone, particularly for our highest office, who does not share our values.

Then Todd asked if he would ever consider voting for a Muslim for Congress. “Congress is a different story”. It turns out these two maniacs are not alone in their anti-Muslim sentiments: 30 percent of Republican voters in Iowa think Islam should be illegal, according to a new poll. Rather, what he is attempting to do is smear an entire group of people so that no one will vote for them. But he then told Hannity he could support a Muslim who promises to support the constitution.

During his speech, Carson promoted a platform of smaller government and paying down the nation’s debt.

But he added he would be open to the idea of a moderate Muslim who denounced radical Islamists as a candidate for president. Others have called on Carson to apologize. U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) points out that there is no constitutional litmus test on faith.

Like Trump and Carly Fiorina, Carson rode a wave of “outsider” momentum to the top of the GOP leaderboard. Second, can we make an important distinction here?

Carson raised eyebrows on Sunday by declaring that he would reject a Muslim presidential candidate. State election officers can’t keep Muslims off the ballot. But, for me, the most important thing about being president is you have leadership skills, you know what you’re doing and you can help fix this country and raise this country. Limbaugh, a conservative political commentator, recently stated that he in no way supports sharia law, as it goes against the Constitution.

ABC’s Tom Llamas asked Carson at the presser, “Was Walker trying to send you a message by asking for candidates to drop out?” “If they embrace our Constitution and are willing to place that above their religious beliefs, I have no problem with that”.
