Philadelphia received a 2017 first round pick and a 2018 fourth round pick from Minnesota in exchange for Bradford. Daniel has far more experience – particularly in Pederson’s offense from Kansas City – but it’s clear Philadelphia can’t wait any longer to usher in the Carson Wentz era.
Coach Pederson: I’m excited.
“We drafted him to take the reins”, Pederson said.
“We’re moving full steam ahead”, said Pederson. “This is something I believe in”. This is why we drafted him. Would the ideal situation be later than sooner? “Sure. But right now where we are, we have a good football team around him, we have a great defense, special teams, good offensive line, good runners, so all the pieces are here for him to be successful and for us to win some games”.
While things may not always go smoothly, Pederson explained that he has expressed to Wentz that he is “the guy”.
