Carson Wentz (wrist) back for North Dakota State in FCS title game
Jacksonville State will vie for the FCS title this Saturday, and two former Hewitt-Trussville players, along with a former Clay-Chalkville Cougar, will take part in the effort to stop North Dakota State’s run of four consecutive FCS national titles.

Jacksonville State fans in town from Alabama for the FCS championship game in Frisco are upset that some Plano businesses are welcoming North Dakota Stats fans but haven’t extended the same welcome to them.
NDSU head coach Chris Klieman made the unexpected announcement Friday at a title-game news conference at Toyota Stadium, the site of today’s game.
The first sight of Wentz throwing a pass came before pregame warmups in the quarterfinal game against Northern Iowa.
The Bison won all eight games, including three playoff games, started by redshirt freshman Easton Stick.
“I don’t think we’re biased”, Frisco Mayor Maher Maso said.
Kelly is the starting right guard for the North Dakota State University Bison football team.
This is the fifth straight year that NDSU has played in the Division 1 national title game.
Roberts is in his first season at Jacksonville State after transferring from UAB where he signed out of high school. The Bison found a gem at quarterback during the Division I reclassification years when a Division II recruit in Steve Walker blossomed into one of the best passing quarterbacks in the FCS.
Anderson returned kickoffs for touchdowns on successive weeks against Montana and Northern Iowa, and then opened the semifinal game against Richmond with a 31-yard return that led to a quick score. “That’s kind of the way we look at it. We have a lot of respect for what they’ve done”.
The Gamecocks were held to a season-low 204 total yards, 325 below their average and 181 under their previous season low.
“We don’t feel like we’re under the radar”, Gamecocks senior running back Troymaine Pope said Thursday.
This year, NDSU’s offensive line has been relatively healthy, especially in the last half of the season.
“In our eyes, it doesn’t matter who our opponent is”, JSU wide receiver Josh Barge told Al.com.

“When I go to Dollar General, McDonald’s, all they want to do is talk about football”. North Dakota State has the big-game experience that can’t really be measured, but most would argue is obviously beneficial.
