Carter: ‘I Think I Would Choose Trump’ Over Cruz
Former President Jimmy Carter told the British Parliament on Wednesday that if he had to choose between Republican candidates Donald Trump and Ted Cruz, he’d prefer to see Trump win the White House. “It would’ve been dead if we had a different justice on the United States Supreme Court put there by him”, Trump said, referring to conservative Chief Justice John Roberts, whose decisive 2012 vote upheld the controversial health care law.

Cruz also defended his campaign’s decision to pass on the news report, which he noted turned out to be true (Carson returned to Florida for “fresh change of clothes” before traveling to D.C. Wednesday).
Roberts’ nomination passed before the Senate in 2005 and Cruz ascended to the legislative body more than seven years later.
“Anyone who wants this job interview needs to come and answer the questions of the men and women of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina”, Cruz said. That’s right: after losing to Ted Cruz in Iowa, the Donald suddenly stopped tweeting.
He also observed that Cruz has “zero support” from his fellow senators.
By contrast, Carter said, outspoken billionaire Mr Trump has no fixed views at all.
Who knows if Trump will come roaring back in the hours to come. “We finished second, and I have to say I am just honored”.

“Caroline and Catherine are better behaved”, the presidential candidate told reporters, adding that Trump was “losing it”.
