An email leak revealed she and Democratic Party staff called Sanders campaign manager a liar and plotted to take Sanders down.

Trump dismissed that idea as laughable, tweeting: “The new joke in town is that Russian Federation leaked the disastrous DNC e-mails”.
“The whips for each state…got a memo from the DNC today that basically said no booing”.

Wasserman Schultz is expected to step down at the end of the week after tendering her resignation.

Outside the convention hall, several hundred Sanders backers marched down Philadelphia’s sweltering streets.
Behind the scenes, Sanders and Clinton aides joined forces to try to ease tensions.
A large group of Sanders supporters say they don’t think the primary season was fair. “These comments do not reflect the values of the DNC or our steadfast commitment to neutrality during the nominating process”. Sanders was delivering the night’s closing address, just after Massachusetts Sen. Would I have preferred to see somebody like an Elizabeth Warren selected by Secretary Clinton? They better be no booing…
The Trump campaign had tried to schedule a noon event with Hispanic leaders at Miami’s legendary Versailles restaurant on Tuesday as well, but wasn’t able to synchronize with local leaders on short notice, Trump Florida campaign director Karen Giorno said.
Clinton spent the first day of the convention in North Carolina, where she focused on last week’s Republican convention. Lucas Haffner of Lytton, another Sanders delegate from Iowa, says for many Sanders supporters, “it would be hard to fall in line” behind Hillary Clinton.
After a tough battle with Sanders, Clinton is now the party’s standard-bearer against Republican nominee Donald Trump in the November 8 election.
Sanders was taking the stage later in the night.
In response to questions about reports of protests planned outside the fundraiser, Giorno said, “I wouldn’t be surprised”.
Clinton is within days of her long-held ambition to become the party’s official presidential nominee.
Clinton had been leading Trump in national opinion polls in recent weeks but the NY businessman got a boost from the Republican National Convention in Cleveland where he was formally nominated last week.

After the raucous appearance at the Florida breakfast, Wasserman Schultz backed off plans to gavel the convention into order Monday, apparently in an attempt to avoid a repeat of the scene.
