Meet Cassi Van Den Dungen, a model who first rose to fame on Australian’s Next Top Model and has built up an impressive portfolio.

Reposting the original image with a red circle around the number of likes, Van Den Dungen added the caption: “After going away on an incredible holiday/road trip I come home to see my post on new adventures had only 14 likes…The lowest amount I’ve ever had on Instagram”.
Complaining that more fans hadn’t liked the image, which simply read ‘say yes to new adventures, ‘ the 23-year-old lashed out as she re-posted the quote to share her woe.
So what did she do?
However since the story of her hissy fit went viral, Cassi has been quick to backtrack with two further posts. She explains that she was “pretty shocked” because her followers “don’t like having fun”, and “YOU ALL SUCK!!!!!”
Relying on a bunch of strangers to make you feel good about yourself will only make you feel awful if you let it. Van Den Dungen seems to have realized this and later posted an image of Jack Nicholson smoking over the phrase, “Sometimes you just need to relax and say, ‘F-k it!'”
She wrote: “The truth is I don’t care about social media at all or anyone’s opinion”.

“To get things straight and to quote myself it states, “to all the people who didn’t like my post AND DON’T LIKE HAVING FUN” meaning to all the boring people who don’t enjoy doing anything, the party poopers and the fun wreckers. Is life that bad that you can’t see the fun in my post?”
“So in closing I hope everyone can rest easy in knowing that this was a bit of fun…thank you in participating in my games, it’s been fun watching the reactions of people”.

Former Australia’s Next Top Model contestant Cassi Van Den Dungen walks the runway for Alex Perry. How sad. The people who have commented a few what negatively, really? All of this was a slight overreaction and perhaps a sign that people place too much value upon social-media approval when – ultimately – no one pays attention to anyone’s “like” count but their own.
