Houston police Department John Cannon tells Global News that the incident occurred this past Wednesday at 1:10 p.m. near I-45.

At this point, police say Escobedo had a female passenger in the auto with him, and Alvarado demanded they get out of the vehicle. The incident was caught on cellphone video as the woman clung to the SUV’s hood on the interstate.

Police found him later and arrested him.

According to Houston police, Escobedo, 31, is Alvarado’s ex-boyfriend.

“I was thinking this lady is trying to stop this vehicle, she is in the middle of the freeway, in front of the auto, it has to be something serious”, said Anthony Rodriguez, who was driving by when it happened.

Shocking footage has emerged believed to show a heavily pregnant woman clinging to the bonnet of a moving auto driven by her baby’s father, it was reported.

“She was holding onto the windshield wipers and he was dodging left and right trying to let her off”, Rodriguez said.

After she noticed her auto was missing, Alvarado says she tracked it down to a Shell gas station near the motel. When he refused to do so, Alverado jumped on the hood.

Alverado went to the hospital to be treated for bumps and bruises.

About an hour later, HPD located Escobedo at the Amber Creek Apartments near the East End, which was not his residence.
