But the news roiling Cleveland was that earlier in the day the team’s biggest star had unfollowed the official Cavaliers’ account on Twitter.

Following the four-time MVP’s post-game comments, he unfollowed a handful of other accounts, including several members of the Cleveland media and a couple national reporters.
After the Cavs’ 124-91 victory over Denver on Monday night, James refused to discuss his unfollowing of the Cavaliers’ account. Even though Kyrie struggled all game, the Cavaliers were in complete control any time that LeBron was on the floor.
His social media habits, though, were off limits.
James was aggressive from the outset and finished the first quarter with 17 points, five rebounds and three assists. Their lethargic play resulted in 38 first-quarter points for the Cavaliers and a deficit so huge that the Nuggets wilted after getting a brief lead. James was credited with 11 assists, but two of them will come under scrutiny when the league office reviews all of the stat keeping like they do for every game. “You just can’t erase a performance like that. It’s a great thing for the guys here, something that you can always talk about when you’re done playing ball, so it’s a pretty good thing”.
For the record, LeBron just started following the Cavaliers on Instagram (but still isn’t following them on Twitter). The Cavs, along with its team owner Dan Gilbert, has already pledge their interest in keeping Tristan Thompson, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving.
“It is what it is”, LeBron James said after finishing with 26 points – one fewer than the rest of Cleveland’s starting five.
“My mind”, he said, shaking his head.
Kenneth Faried didn’t play in this game, but he wouldn’t of made any difference. The Nuggets leaned on D.J. Augustin for 24 points in the win and have been impressed with the combo guard since picking him up from Oklahoma City at the trade deadline.
“It was embarrassing”, Malone said. “I’m very disappointed with that”. “I did not like our effort, out focus, our intensity and our fight for 48 minutes”.
There was a loss to the under-.500 Wizards in late February in which the Cavaliers trailed by as much as 30, a weird 106-103 home defeat to a Memphis team missing the top half of its roster and, most recently, Saturday’s 122-101 rout at Miami that saw the Heat basically lead wire-to-wire.
James got the Cavs back on track and to 50 wins, a milestone he doesn’t take lightly. It’s pretty cool. Obviously I know what my main goal is, my ultimate goal, but along the journey you have things like that, accomplishments like that, it’s pretty cool.

And in order to get better on the defensive end, Lue chose to purposefully take a step backward, stripping down the defense to basic tasks. “It’s not proven, it’s not given, that every year you’ll be in position to win a division title or win 50 games”.
