Cavaliers 90, Knicks 84
The Cleveland Cavaliers won over the NY Knicks on Friday night and the comeback victory was led by LeBron James to earn an eighth straight win for the Cavs.

“Records are meant to be broken, but that don’t mean you’re great”, James said. Mo Williams played well, accumulating 29 points, six rebounds, and six assists.
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Zach Randolph’s put-back basket with less than a second left and a season-high 31 points from Marc Gasol led the Memphis Grizzlies to a 101-100 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night. But Smith cooled off considerably after his hot start and finished just 3-of-10 from the floor.
Despite the impressive offensive performance from James and Kevin Love, maybe the thing that resonated the most after the game was the time out call with the game tied at 96-96 in the first overtime that ruined an opportunity for the Cavaliers to win the game.
Just three players on the entire team are averaging 10 points per game and all three of those guys are actually putting up at least 16 per contest, LeBron included. King James decided he was going to take over and the Knicks couldn’t deny him.
Leading the way offensively for Milwaukee was Michael Carter-Williams and Jerryd Bayless with each having 17 points.
“We expected they would probably relax a little but, so we had made a decision to push it, and we didn’t get that chance, unfortunately”, Cleveland coach David Blatt said. “Naturally, with LeBron (James) and his capability of making big plays, we went to him and he used the looks that the defense showed him to make plays for himself and Mo (Williams), who made a couple of big shots and big plays for us”.
Utah cut the lead to 107-105, but James hit a hook shot in the lane and split four free throws. Cleveland struggled at the line, converting only 18 of 31 for 58 percent. It’s easy to heap the loss on Anthony’s shoulders for his poor second half play, but that doesn’t mean we should.
Carter-Williams dunked in a missed shot as time expired in the first half, giving Milwaukee a 50-44 lead.
To say that the Akron, OH native is a strong part of why the team is 8-1 this year is an understatement.
Whether it was the electric highlight jams from Jabari Parker, or Giannis Antetokounmpo and Black Hole Bayless sticking with LeBron James in the overtime sessions, this game had something for every basketball fan. His two free throws made it 88-84 with 18.1 seconds left. But with Derek Fisher getting quality minutes from Langston Galloway and Lou Amundson, the Knicks extended their lead to 72-66 entering the fourth. Carmelo Anthony averages 22.7 points and 1.0 steals.
Karl-Anthony Towns, the league’s seventh-best rebounder, had 12 points and nine rebounds for Minnesota.
A tough early schedule threatened to wipe out the Knicks’ season nearly before it began, but they have been able to pull a few positives out of the sub-.500 record.
NY lost their recent game and are looking to bounce back in a big way as they host the Cavaliers.

The Cavs will practice Monday before traveling to Detroit for Tuesday’s game against the Pistons and James conceded he’s curious to see how the players will respond.
