“The style of basketball we play, with LeBron [James] and Kyrie [Irving] pretty much making all the plays for us, guys are going to get open shots and open threes, and we have to make them”, Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue said.

“This is a business trip, we get the opportunity to be in a great city but at the end of the day we know the main focus was to continue the momentum”, James said.

“Channing coming out and making those 3s kind of became contagious, ” Lue said. “They”™ve actually compiled a slightly better record at home (22-12) than on the road (20-11) percentagewise, but they”™re hardly instilling fear into visiting teams.

Can Cavs win at the Clippers? All of them have come since February 22. Tristan Thompson had 10 points and 11 boards. “We started out the game great, but there was no fight once they punched back”.

That also overshadowed Chris Paul as he carried the load for the Clippers in the game with 30 points and 9 assists.

The Cavs took a 17-point lead before the half ended for their biggest advantage of the game up until that point, then built on their lead by knocking down eight 3-pointers in the third quarter alone.

Kevin Love, who finished with 12 points and nine rebounds, launched the Cavs on a 30-6 run over the end of the first and start of the second quarter that pushed the lead to 37-23.

5-of-7 – Yes, trading fan-favorite Anderson Varejao was rough, but what Channing Frye has already brought to the Cavaliers in his short time in Cleveland is nothing short of impressive. “And we would say, “˜We would love to meet you there.”™”.

The Clippers closed to 43-38 with a 15-6 spurt, helped by 3-pointers from Jamal Crawford and two in a row from Paul. “Over the last few games, I have tried to be aggressive and live off the confidence my teammates have in me”.

Defensive stops led to transition points and there was none better than Irving’s second-quarter fastbreak pass to a trailing James for a thunderous two-handed slam dunk.

The Greek forward scored 28 points, handed out 14 assists and grabbed 11 rebounds – nearly becoming the first player to notch a triple-double in a single half since Bucks coach Jason Kidd did it for Dallas in 2010.

Kyrie Irving was the lone starter for either club on the floor to start the fourth and he effectively put the game on ice by himself.

17-5 and 15-6- Trailing 14-4 five minutes into the Sunday matinee, the Cavaliers (finally) woke up and finished the quarter on a 17-5 run to take the lead and never looked back. The Cavaliers (47-18) posted a 115-102 victory over the Clippers on January 21 at Cleveland. Cavs move to 3-0 on this West Coast swing, beating the Clippers 103-100.
