It is unclear when the injury happened, but it appears Shumpert underwent an MRI on Tuesday to diagnose the issue.

The surgery was performed at the Cleveland Clinic.

“If there’s one place we have depth it’s at the guard spot”, he said. Shumpert battled shoulder and groin injuries, but the 25-year-old was a key contributor as Cleveland on the Eastern Conference title and made it to the finals for the second time.

“Monday everything was fine”, Smith said. He played just 25 games past year before tearing his ACL on December. 15. I don’t think so, but I definitely improved.

“Fortunately mentally he’s been in this situation before”, Smith said of his teammate. He was due to make $6.4 million.
