Cavs sticking with ‘do-or-die’ approach to NBA Finals

A sluggish start to Game Three cost the Golden State Warriors a chance to move within a win of a second consecutive National Basketball Association title and could ultimately prove to be the turning point in their Finals series against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The number contender in the Eastern Conference, Cleveland Cavaliers, came out big on Game 3 of the NBA Finals to bag their first win in this year’s finals series against the defending champions, Golden State Warriors with a score of 120-90.

I expect the Cavs defense to show up again and be nearly as good as it was in game three, but the Warriors defense, depth, and shooting will help them win a close one in Cleveland by the score of 96-90, to end the Cavs chance at bringing home the city of Cleveland’s first championship since 1964. Cleveland just notched its first win – an overwhelmingly convincing one – after lopsidedly losing the first two games.

CLEVELAND (AP) – It’s been the postseason of blowouts.

Finally, LeBron’s supporting cast showed up in the NBA Finals. They finished a combined 4-of-16 from 3-point range.

Coincidentally, Love said he made up his mind to return to Cleveland as a free agent in Game 3 of last year’s Finals, when he was sidelined after shoulder surgery and could only watch from the bench as the Cavs went up 2-1 on the Warriors. But they played much better defense on Wednesday night while missing starting power forward Kevin Love, who sat out with a concussion.

This sort of wild back-and-forth isn’t just rare, it’s unprecedented. “Just got to keep the confidence high”. They’re going to compete. Love was on the ground, holding his head, but returned to the game, only to leave later when he appeared dazed in the middle of a play.

Sweeps are satisfying for the team that wins four straight games, but in television, sweeps week doesn’t start until the end of the month.

Again, try to make sense of that.

His jumper was nowhere to be found until it was too late.

“It will change your life forever”, Jackson said. The number of games left to play depends exclusively upon the performance of James and the Cavaliers.

The Warriors played a awful game three.

“This was about one team being emotionally fired up and angry about being down 0-2 and another team being comfortable”. So I don’t think that had anything to do with it.

You don’t need me to tell you the Cavaliers face another must-win scenario Friday in Game 4.

After the Cavaliers’ 110-77 loss on Sunday, mild-mannered assistant Phil Handy stunned Cleveland’s players with an out-of-character, profanity-laced tirade, Cleveland.com reported, citing sources present in the locker room.

Game Four is in Cleveland on Friday.

“The first six minutes of the game is going to be important for us to let them know we’re here”, said Curry.

The Cavs had three players – James, Kyrie Irving and J.R. Smith – each reach 20 points in Game 3, which is three more such outings than the Warriors have gotten from Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson in this series.

The “Splash Brothers” haven’t exactly lived up to the moniker.

Irving, who managed only 10 points in game two, sizzled early, hitting 7-of-9 shots from the floor in the period to spark the Cavaliers to a 33-13 lead. These are both big reasons why he could feel as though it’s completely understandable to expect to start if cleared for Game 4.

Kyrie Irving left and Le Bron James of the Cavaliers celebrate their 120-90 win against the Warriors in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday. The two stars promised to pick up the slack for ailing teammate Kevin Love out with a concussion
