Cavs win Game 5, series goes back to Cleveland

Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James didn’t have any patience for teammate Kevin Love during Game 5 of their NBA Finals matchup against the Golden State Warriors.

For every Thompson bucket, James had one to match.

Thus, all of a sudden, a winner-take-all Game 7 on Monday is upon us, all because James had willed it to happen. “Guys put the ball in my face and get some blocks, and guys throw some errant passes and I’m able to get some steals”, James continued. There’s so many. I don’t know.

“I mean, it’s not always been great, but I guess the last few games, elimination games it’s been pretty good, and hopefully I can continue that (Thursday)”. Lebron James was confident with his jump shot which opened up his game to be in attack mode and helped him make great decisions with the basketball.

On the other side, Cavs coach Tyronn Lue wasn’t concerned with Green’s absence. I mean, we’ve got a fire lit too. They were out and running early in Game 6, outscoring the Warriors 31-11 in the first quarter, including 9-0 on fast-break points. And while the only acceptable approach to digging oneself out of such a hole is to worry about the next game (and not the one after), Lue said the Cavs never lost their belief that they could win it all.

James, who scored 25 points in the first half, made 16-of-30 shots and scored at least 40 points in a playoff game for the 16th time in his career – the fourth time against the Warriors in the past two seasons. The Warriors have turned that into fuel – they feel the Cavaliers lobbied and pressured the league to suspend Green because they can’t beat the Warriors on the court.

Draymond Green being absent played a role in game 5 as the Golden State Warriors were defeated.
