She will make the push while touring a health center in Miami at the heart of the Zika outbreak in the United States.

Lawmakers left Washington in mid-July for a seven-week recess without approving any of the $1.9 billion that President Barack Obama requested in February to develop a vaccine and control the mosquitoes that carry the virus.
Democrats have since pushed for a “clean” Zika funding bill, but Republicans have accused them of not being willing to pass the two measures they proposed. Late Monday, Clinton’s campaign chairman announced she would take part in all three debates that the Commission on Presidential Debates is organizing. She called the spread of Zika a “serious challenge” and said the issue needs to be addressed before it gets worse. “Because Washington can not keep ignoring the needs of the families of Florida”.
“It is understandable to be anxious about Zika, but it’s important to note that now, local transmission of Zika by mosquitoes is limited to a relatively small geographic area in south Florida”, said Andrew Lima of Fairfax County’s Disease Carrying Insects Program.
Microcephaly, characterized by abnormally small heads in fetuses and infants, has already been definitively linked to the Zika virus.
Trump, meanwhile, campaigning in North Carolina, stirred a new controversy by saying that if Clinton is elected, “Second Amendment people” could do something to prevent her from overturning the right to bear arms. Florida now has the capacity to test 6,053 people for active Zika virus and 1,691 for Zika antibodies.

Florida Republicans Marco Rubio and Gov. Rick Scott have also called on Congress to come back and fund the Zika fight.
