On Thursday night, during the Republican National Convention, Ivanka Trump spoke before her father, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

As a result, she said, Trump was going to make child care more affordable and was going to change labor laws so that mothers would receive equal pay for equal work.
Thursday night, it turns out, would not be the night Donald Trump made his “pivot”, or toned down his rhetoric to appeal to a broad spectrum of Americans.
Eric Trump said Ivanka’s speech brings a different perspective than from the sons of the family, as she is able to highlight more of the doting father-daughter relationship.
Ivanka Trump: “As a mother myself of three young children, I know how hard it is to raise a family and I know that I am far more fortunate than most”.
In her speech introducing her father Thursday, the candidate’s elder daughter had no problem breaking Republican orthodoxies. “Probably five years before our divorce, Reagan or somebody brought him a letter and said, ‘You should run for president, ‘” Donald’s first wife told the New York Post.
Ivanka Trump saluted her father’s personal attributes – his “fairness”, his “kindness”, his “generosity” and his “compassion”.
Thanks to her arrangement with G-iii, most of Ivanka’s clothing line is manufactured outside the U.S. In March, an economist found that, “Of the 838 Ivanka products advertised through the site, none appear to be made exclusively in the U.S.; 628 are said to be imported and 354 made specifically in China”.
“He is colorblind and gender neutral. This is such a personal experience for her, and she shared it in such a graceful and articulate way, so I am enormously impressed with her ability to do that and have great respect for it”. “I think that’s very refreshing, because with most politicians I’ve witnessed, you have no idea if what’s coming out of their mouths is married to their viewpoints”. Yet Donald Trump doesn’t use those words to describe himself. “The softness disappeared”, he said later adding, “she became an executive, not a wife”. I am also loyal and I love my dad, just like you love yours. “If he doesn’t like someone, he’ll articulate that, and I think it’s also part of what resonates about him”.
One of those voters, Gabby Lurrs, said she admires Ivanka’s beauty and poise and that her appeal has nothing to do with political issues.
Ivanka converted to Judaism before the couple Wednesday in October 2009 and says they put family first – particularly on Fridays when they unplug for the Sabbath.
Ivanka was the family member to introduce the billionaire businessman as he launched his presidential bid from Trump Tower in Manhattan. In 2013, she and her husband hosted a fundraiser for then-Senate hopeful Cory Booker, D-N.J.

“I’ve always voted based on the candidate as opposed to the party”, she told CNN during a Town Hall.
