The show, which has now become a pop culture sensation, nets the formidable judge a whopping $47,000,000 annually.

The show will reportedly center on the youngest judge in the NY court system who struggles to manage her personal life, despite her success in the courtroom. That agreement also gave the network first look at any new projects from Sheindlin’s production company, which makes the syndicated reality court show Hot Bench.

The famed television judge is developing “Her Honor”, a drama series at CBS, which is inspired by her own life, Variety has learned exclusively.

Judge Judy Sheindlin’s wild and insane life is the basis for a scripted drama now in development for CBS.

Chicago Justice executive producer (and former Law & Order EP) Michael Chernuchin will write the pilot, with Sheindlin getting story co-writer credit, and both serving as executive producers alongside Arnold and Anne Kopelson.

Unlike her courtroom series which is a hit around the world, the new show will be a scripted drama.

The best part? The show will be called Her Honor.
