CBS says it has ordered a third season of its sci-fi series “Zoo”, to air next summer. Making the announcements, CBS said Zoo’s the 2016 summer’s second most watched original scripted broadcast series.
Based on the bestseller by James Patterson, Zoo chronicles a wave of violent animal attacks against humans across the planet.
Season two of Zoo will wrap up on September 6th with a two-hour finale. The drama series is produced by CBS Television Studios and stars James Wolk, Kristen Connolly, Billy Burke, Nonso Anozie and Nora Arnezeder.
Wednesday is CBS’ time to shine while at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour, and they have taken it upon themselves to announce some renewals for some of their most-important summer shows. Jeff Pinkner, Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec, Scott Rosenberg, Michael Katleman, James Mangold, Cathy Konrad, James Patterson, Bill Robinson, Leopoldo Gout and Steve Bowen are executive producers. Since premiering in 2000, the reality show has finished among the summer’s top-rated series in young demographics with all three weekly broadcasts ranking among the top five programs in adults 18-34 and the top 10 programs in adults 18-49 and 25-54.
