CBS replaces Supergirl, NCIS: LA episodes following Paris attacks

Meanwhile, “NCIS: LA” is dropping “The Long Goodbye” this week, as the episode features a young girl who is being recruited to join the ISIS terrorist group. Now, the network will air the December 7 episode about a missing woman connected to Sam Hanna.

The network announced on Monday (Nov. 16) that the two episodes originally scheduled to air on Tuesday (Nov. 17) have been replaced with other original episodes instead.

CBS is changing its Monday lineup in response to the terror attacks in Paris Friday.

Monday isn’t the first time broadcast networks have changed schedules in the wake of current events.

Deadline notes that Quantico, a terrorism-themed series on ABC, and Showtime’s Homeland, which is set in Germany, will both air their regularly scheduled episodes tonight.

That’s just a selection of responses, and the late night TV hosts will most likely address the Paris attacks tonight on their respective shows. United States of America in August postponed the season finale of its acclaimed drama “Mr. Robot” due to similarities with gun shootings that took place on live local TV in Virginia.

In Monday’s “Supergirl”, the hero was supposed to be saving National City from a series of bombings.

CBS did not say when the episodes that were pulled would run.

Episode 22 of the ABC show was pushed back a week from April 22, 2013 to April 29, 2013 following the Boston Marathon bombings. CBS hasn’t rescheduled the original episodes yet.

Lionsgate Films, a division of Lions Gate Entertainment Corp, on Sunday said it was scraping red carpet interviews at the Los Angeles premiere of “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2″. Instead, the Thanksgiving episode “Livewire” will air instead.
