CBS’s Moonves Says Content Deal With Apple TV Is Likely
While Apple’s streaming television service is still in the works with a launch date unknown, the company’s new set-top box will be launching at the end of the month.

According to a Bloomberg report, CBS President and CEO Les Moonves says a deal that would add the network to Apple’s live service is likely – at a few point, anyway.
During an interview with Bloomberg TV, Moonves said: “Apple is having conversations with everyone about doing their own streaming services”. “We’ve had those conversations”, Moonves says, pointing out that other networks have done the same and does believe that something will happen, just doesn’t know when.
The most pronounced hold out is CBS, America’s most watched broadcast TV network. For now, Apple’s plan seems to be getting as many Apple TVs out there as it can – that way, when the service is finally ready, plenty of people will be able to sign up.
The new Apple TV is already in developer hands and will be available to the general public in late October. CBS, with popular shows like “The Big Bang Theory” and “Criminal Minds” is one of the key elements to a live subscription service that Apple hopes to use to revolutionize TV.

With Siri-powered Universal Search, a new tvOS operating system that incorporates the App Store and a motion and touch sensitive controller, Apple should be fine while CBS continues its efforts to sweeten the pot.
