Ohio State basketball player Ja’Quan Lyle confirmed “the gist” of the accusations of an escort service entertaining recruits at Louisville, according to CBS Sports’ Gary Parrish.
Lyle, just a couple of weeks after his visit, committed to Louisville but later de-committed. One source said that “he told the truth, he had to tell them or he was going to get hit with the amateurism issue on benefits”, according to Adam Zagoria of SNY.tv.
CBS Sports said escort Katina Powell’s claims in the book “Breaking Cardinal Rules: Basketball and the Escort Queen”, were discussed with Lyle, who decommitted from Louisville and is a freshman at Ohio State. If the investigation finds that these allegations are true, Pitino could be facing a heavy suspension and the basketball program could face big sanctions.
“Been a long time since we’ve been up to U of L to do a show”, Powell writes.
Ohio State University, where Lyle is a freshman, confirmed that Lyle met Tuesday with the NCAA. He wanted me to bring three girls up there for a new recruit named JaQuan Lyle, he and his friend. Sports. “We’ve been told, and are pretty confident, this is not something we need to worry about”. “TooTall made $100, Shay made $100, and Jazzy made nothing because she did absolutely nothing”.
Now it seems that Louisville is forced into a place where they will have to admit to the allegations and work with the NCAA on how to move forward.
