CBSE Class 12 maths paper was tough, say two MPs
Many students, who appeared for Standard XII CBSE Mathematics Board Examination paper, were in tears as they complained the paper was very tough. “After exam, some students showed an identical question paper in their phones”.

Muskaan Sharma, a student of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh, said, “I found the paper extremely lengthy and ended up leaving a four-mark question since I had no time”. They were able to complete their exam well in time; some students completed their paper in about half the allotted time. “We have written to the Controller of Examination, CBSE, highlighting the issues faced by the students”, said Wattal. CBSE officials said that they had consulted experts with the “evidences” and concluded that only two questions and answers, which were purportedly leaked, matched with those in the actual question paper.
” The CBSE is playing with the careers of a complete generation. Why are NCERT books in school curriculam when they are not followed in paper setting?” asked Latika Panghal. “Those who play with the future of students must be punished”, Arun Bhatia was quoted as saying by the Daily. I myself am a post graduate in Physics and it was shocking to see the marks distribution of the paper. We’ve been told that when CBSE sets a tough paper, checking is usually lenient. The questions were very lengthy and tricky. Students were awarded full marks for attempting hard questions.
While some said the questions on deteriorations and matrices were easier but unlike the board exam in 2015, students had to make equations before solving the same. Maximum questions were from outside the syllabus.
This sort of tough paper should be avoided and “I urge the government to look into the exam and take necessary steps”, Venugopal added.

However, CBSE is not immune to such allegations of tough question papers.
