The incident happened in the busy Sector 18 market where the elderly couple have a mobile phone shop.

According to OneIndia, the heavily-drunk youth targeted the old couple over an unsettled dispute over his handset. At one point, the weeping woman rushed shield her husband as the attacker caught hold of the elderly man and started beating him vigorously.
In the disturbing visuals caught on CCTV camera, not one neighbor or friend is seen trying to stop the attacker or help the couple. A man walked inside the shop and started thrashing the elderly couple. He has been arrested by the police.

The police said that the accused, reportedly under the influence of liquor, tried to misbehave with the woman and when she resisted him, the accused slapped her, breaking her teeth. After a brief argument the man is seen attacking the woman and then her husband.
