Celebrating Frank Gifford: Hoda shares generous, sweet moments from memorial
When first hearing the news that Frank Gifford has passed away, it comes as a surprise as he still seemed so virile.

“We rejoice in the extraordinary life he was privileged to live, and we feel grateful and blessed to have been loved by such an unbelievable human being”.
Sharing a photo of Kathie Lee and Frank on Twitter with the caption: “2 awesome people were born today xo all my love”.
“I was putting my contact lenses in, and I’m bending over at the thing, and I had nothing but my shorts on, and she made some comment…about something about, ‘I’ve seen a lot of tight ends…’ but just kept right on walking down the hall”, Gifford told King in 1993. His kindness was infectious, and his grace, beyond compare. And despite the worldly passing of an incredible man, I undoubtedly know heaven gained one stud of an angel. He played with the New York Giants from 1952- 1964, and he assisted his side to five NFL championship games and was voted the league’s MVP before his No. 16 Giants jersey was retired and he was inducted in to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1977. Her dad’s tribute also included a quote from the Bible. She recorded it and the New York Times not only put it on its website, but devoted the entire front page of its sports section last Sunday to a picture of her holding a framed remembrance of her father along with her speech. “Phillippians 4:13 (sic)”. You were an unparalleled Giant in all sense of the word, Dad.
Frank Gifford was truly one of the best to ever play in the NFL. Kathie Lee Gifford was one of many to publicly mourn Gifford’s death Sunday with a message on Twitter.
“She said, ‘He built this family”. This is your speech, your moment and your honor, and to say that I’m the most proud daughter on Earth would be an understatement.
Now, less than a week after his passing, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that the Gifford, who was 84 at the time of his death, had already decided when he was alive what was to become of his $20 million fortune. While his career kept him busy during part of Cassidy and brother Cody Gifford’s childhood, they made sure to make up for lost time later. “2Corinthians 6:10”, Kathie Lee had tweeted that day.
But throughout their marriage, they experienced rocky times, from business scandals, when Kathie Lee initially denied that her Wal-Mart clothing line resulted from the use of Honduras child laborers, to charges of infidelity. “And she is very strong but obviously, very distraught”.
