Celebrity Big Brother: Tiffany goes into meltdown after mishearing David Gest
David Bowie’s ex-wife Angie didn’t learn of her former husband’s death immediately, due to her participation in the United Kingdom television show, “Celebrity Big Brother'”.

Angie Bowie on Celebrity Big Brother after hearing the news of her ex-husband David Bowie’s death.
Angie, who was married to David from 1970 to 1980, has already said that she plans to stick it out on the popular reality show. “I’m not really into fighting”, he told Big Brother on the show in the Diary Room before making an exit via the back door. She says: “I hope Gemma goes home”.
Ms Bowie was told of the star’s death off camera but agreed to sit down and talk on camera about the sad news.
“She then took the decision to remain in the house of her own accord”.
She broke down and was told to take “all the time” she needed by Big Brother.
“I’m not sure what disgusts me more”.
Initially she made a decision to keep the news quiet, telling Gest and John Partridge who had been sent to comfort her in the diary room: “Maybe we should do that, then we wouldn’t have to hear all the stupidity”. As David Gest is one of the housemates, Tiffany assumed he had died – he was in bed at the time, fast asleep – and she, for want of a better description, wigged out…
Pollard is eventually calmed down when other housemates realise her confusion and explain who had actually died.
“She had plenty of time to consider her position”.
Despite viewer complaints, “Big Brother” stood by its editing decisions for the episode, releasing a statement to Buzzfeed: “It is always the show’s aim to represent and reflect the day’s events accurately to viewers”.

The 66-year-old former model was brought to tears in a recorded confessional after she learned the news that David had passed.
