In England, Celebrity Big Brother fans are upset with the show’s producers for depicting David Bowie’s ex-wife Angela Bowie as she learned about the news of the star’s death on Monday.

Angie Bowie was married to David Bowie from 1970 to 1980, and is the mother of his son Duncan Jones.

Angie, who agreed with Gest not to tell the other contestants, chose to share the news with Pollard anyway, telling her: “You can’t say a word”.

Tiffany, still unable to control her emotions, shrieked: “David, she just told me that you’re dead!” I’m so very sad, ‘ Angie declared before bursting into tears. Tiffany then went to the Diary Room to tell Big Brother she wanted to leave, which people on Twitter were OK with.

It’s completely absurd and incredibly frustrating but having endured Celebrity Big Brother here in Australia in 2002, it’s also completely understandable.

A Channel 5 spokesperson said Ms Bowie was told off-camera about the death of her ex-husband by her agent.

In an interview with Hello! magazine before she entered the house, Kristina revealed it came as a complete shock to the couple. “The whole Big Brother experience is emotional and she knew that before she went in to the house”.

He added: “She’s a genuine person, she’s happy for people to see her as she is”.

Angie decided she would like to stay in the house and John and David accompanied her back into the living area.

Angie Bowie says she hasn’t talked to her son in 28 years and is ” fine” about their estrangement. She was informed of her ex-husband’s death on Monday.

According to Mirror UK, a spokesman for Channel 5 has confirmed Cheban’s exit from “Celebrity Big Brother UK”.

Throughout the day fellow CBB housemates called for Tiffany to leave, saying they didn’t feel safe living with someone so on the edge. Not that she’ll know anything about that until she leaves the show.

“She told me that David died”, Pollard ranted. You may remember Pollard best from VH1’s celeb-reality programming (Flavor of Love, I Love New York, I Love New York 2, etc.) as well as her penchant for wildly overreacting.
