Authorities say Angelil, the husband and manager of Dion, has died in Las Vegas.

Claudette explained to the publication that her brother’s condition was very similar to Celine’s last husband Rene, who also died of cancer on Thursday (14Jan16). Angelil was a huge part of molding Dion and a huge part of her global success. Funeral plans have not been announced for Angelil.
Angelil’s funeral is set to take place at Montreal’s Notre Dame Basilica next Saturday, the same church where he married the singer in 1994. There will be a wake held on Thursday allowing the public to pay their respects.
“All of us at AEG and at Caesars Palace have Celine and her children in our thoughts and prayers”. The source also added that the situation has been hard for Celine because she’s close to Daniel as well as to all her other siblings.
The Las Vegas concert resident had tweeted details for her late husband’s funeral services less than a day ago.
A visitation will be held for Daniel on January 23 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m.at Salon Charles Rajotte in Repentigny.
