Celine Dion Says Final Goodbye to Rene Angelil at His Funeral
Celine Dion has been joined by thousands of fans, friends, family members, politicians and entertainers in Montreal to say farewell to her husband and manager, Rene Angelil.

His funeral will take place at the basilica on Friday afternoon.
Inside the basilica, hundreds gathered to for a sombre service that included eulogies from Angelil’s adult and young children – which at times “lifted mourners” spirits.
Angelil died on January 14, two days shy of his 74th birthday, after years of living with throat cancer. “I’ll make sure to pass on what I’ve learned from you”. I promise you that we are going to live up to your standards. “Je t’aime papa (I love you dad)”.
A number of celebrities are expected to attend the funeral for the man credited with transforming Dion into an global superstar.
Rene’s funeral is schedule for 3 p.m. EST on Friday.
Angelil also said his father shared his passions, especially his love of gambling.
“I will continue to do my job as much as possible”, Dion told RTL according to chb44.com. She was seen approaching the casket where she a made a crucifix gesture before gazing at her husband and placing a hand on his cheek.
“We also honour the philanthropist, somebody who has been extremely active in our artistic and cultural community”.
The “My Heart Will Go On” singer and the couple’s 5-year-old twin boys Nelson and Eddy were also in mourning at today’s event.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. After years of music hiatus to give priority to Angélil’s well-being, Dion said that she would like to keep moving forward despite the situation.
