In a press conference, Torrecilla revealed the club are on the verge of rewarding Nolito with a new deal that, according to local newspaper Faro de Vigo, will set his release clause in £18.3m ($28.14m).

Despite the continued suggestions that a move to Barcelona could be imminent, Nolito is attempting not to lose focus on Celta nor become distracted ahead of an important week in his worldwide career.

“I am relaxed and helping Celta as much as I can”, he said. “I try to be the same as I always am and stay happy. I haven’t spoken either to Nolito or his representative”.

“I am calm because like many things in life, what will happen will happen, whether good or bad”.

Celta Vigo star Nolito insists persistent rumours linking him with a return to Barcelona will not change him as a person or a player.

The Spain worldwide, who has scored five goals and assisted three in La Liga this term, has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League since the summer.

Liverpool meanwhile have struggled for goals, having only registered eight in eight games and with Jurgen Klopp expected to arrive by the end of the week, they could well be on the lookout for a few fresh faces in the transfer window.
