Celtics’ Jonas Jerebko finalizes deal to acquire eSports team
Jerebko has reportedly negotiated contracts with the players on the team, and will now put them up in a house and training facility in suburban Detroit-where he spent his first six seasons in the league, playing for the Pistons. The team had been subjected to rumours they would be closing down after losing their NA LCS team due to team violations, however a total buyout by National Basketball Association player, Jonas Jerebko, has resulted in a city move for the organisation as a fresh start.

The organization, which has teams in League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Halo, has gone through a turbulent campaign after mismanagement accusations.
The deal to buy the Renegades was consummated in Las Vegas.
It’s been a rough year for Renegades. Renegades has signed Dream Team, a US squad comprised of Adam “KiLLa” Sloss, Troy “Sender” Michaels, Martin “Chino” Chino and Steven “Diabolic” Rivero.
Coming from a professional background in sports, Jerebko plans to run his organization in the most professional manner.
“The Call of Duty players we were negotiating with were under contract a year ago and weren’t getting paid for three to five months”, Jerebko said in the report.
That being said, Jerebko also said he expects his players to buy into his long-term vision. “There isn’t stability in that”. Three-time NBA champion Rick Fox owns Echo Fox and NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal and recently retired baseball star Alex Rodriguez are investors in NRG eSports. Jerebko wouldn’t give dollar amounts to deals, but did say that they are for one year with a one-year team option.

Former owner Chris Badawi was given a lifetime ban from the League Championship Series and told to relinquish ownership of the team last year and other former co-owner, Christopher “MonteCristo” Mykles, was banned for a year after the 2016 Spring Split, forcing the sale of the club.
