Celtics, Rockets have discussed Dwight Howard trade

Bickerstaff made his comments to the media postgame following the same contest.

ESPN reports that Howard will serve the suspension Tuesday night when the Rockets host the Miami Heat.

A player averaging 14.4 points and 11.8 rebounds per game and shooting 55.1 percent from the foul line typically is not worth a max salary, but the league’s salary cap is rising fast thanks to the new television contract. It was Howard’s second technical of the game. After scoring a season high of 13 pts in a single quarter, the Wizards were on a mission to shut Howard down and the refs allowed it. Perhaps big men garner less empathy due to their size.

Howard, 30, has also displayed recent frustration on the court, racking up technicals and being suspended one game for making contact with an official. Just play basketball. I wouldn’t intentionally try to hurt anybody.

The Celtics’ best assets are draft picks and there’s no way they’d relinquish one of their Nets picks in exchange for a declining Howard. I’m emotional because I want to win.

While Lee has not demanded a trade, Boston as well as Lee’s representatives are looking at potential teams that would make sense for both Lee to play for, and the Celtics to acquire an asset or two in return that would make them potentially better. Playing to grab somebody’s shoulders.

Oh but NBA Commissioner had the balls to fine Rockets Interim Head Coach JB Bickerstaff, for speaking the truth about the officiating.

Although the Rockets’ ultra-aggressive nature on the trade market will undoubtedly lead some rival teams to believe that their stance could still change during the final two weeks before the trade deadline, one source insisted Wednesday that the Rockets haven’t held any meaningful trade talks involving Howard since December. If Ainge is talking to the Rockets about Howard, it’s likely because he’s surveyed the rest of the league and doesn’t see many other options.
