Celtics Sign Second-Round Pick Jordan Mickey
The former Oklahoma State standout suffered the injury when he landed on his right hand while going for a loose ball in the second quarter.

For Celtics forward Jonathan Holmes, the Las Vegas Summer League has served as one big audition.
Televised broadcast of the game showed Smart’s fingers bent at extremely awkward angles as he was treated on the court, but the 21-year-old has said that he is happy that there were no broken bones.
The Celtics lost to the San Antonio Spurs 95-93 in the quarterfinals of the NBA’s Summer League playoffs.
“I told him before the game, don’t try and press”, Shrewsberry said.
“My right arm got stuck, and as I was coming down it kind of hit the floor and went the other way”.
“I feel a lot better now. So just working on getting my finger strength back and getting back into training camp”, he added.
Over the first two years, Mickey will earn about the same as the 22nd pick, as CelticsHub’s Brian Robb pointed out on Twitter. “I’m pretty sure you saw the pictures and everything – it looked like my fingers were done”. He’s also got a guard rotation that may or may not include 17 different players to crack in his rookie season.
Smart joked about showing photos of the injury to teammates (most of whom regretted looking).

During the National Basteball Association Summer League in Las Vegas and Utah, Mickey averaged 12.3 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.4 blocks in eight games – separating himself as one of Boston’s best young assets.
