Cent Uses Rick Ross Over Use Of “In Da Club”
50 Cent has filed a lawsuit (Dec. 23) against Rick Ross for rapping over his “In Da Club” beat as a means to promote Black Market, his eighth studio album, Billboard can confirm. Ross’ remix of the 2003 hit appears on a new mixtape he recently put out.

50 Cent and Rick Ross have been at it for years through music, social media and the legal system.
If you think that 50 Cent is done with trolling his arch nemesis Rick Ross, think again.
According to TMZ, 50 claims that Ross didn’t have permission to use the instrumental on his project, and says that he used it to bring publicity to Black Market. 50 Cent actively and generously collaborates with fellow hip-hop artists, but we maintain that this is a case of outright misappropriation. 50 Cent eventually deleted the post, but Ross had already retaliated by slamming the rapper for filing for bankruptcy protection.
It could be that this particular lawsuit by 50 Cent is potentially just a shot taken in retaliation over the lawsuit he ended up losing over leaking the sex tape.
Jackson is now seeking $2 million in damages from the “false and misleading promotional advertising campaign”.
