Centurion Lewis takes Windies to 245/6 in first T20I vs India
Brathwaite, the big-hitting hero of the West Indies’ World Twenty20 victory over England in Mumbai earlier this year, has replaced Darren Sammy as captain.

Though the matches are taking place in the USA, BCCI is hosting the events, by virtue of which India is the home side.
Dhoni’s ploy of halting the duo by employing his star off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin failed to bear any result as Charles hit consecutive sixes off the tweaker to get to his half-century from just 20 balls.
Playing his second ever T20I, Lewis, who till now was playing second fiddle, took the attack to the opposition as he also got to his 50 off 25 balls with four boundaries and three sixes.
The raining of fours and sixes went unabated with yet another Indian bowler, Jadeja was taken to the cleaners with Lewis pummelling him for two sixes as the Windies reached to their 100 in 7.5 overs at a rate of over 13 an over.
With fellow opener Johnson Charles, Lewis put on 126 for the first wicket.
After the first 10 overs, West Indies were 132/1 after losing Charles for a Shami yorker that luckily crept its way through for a much needed respite.
The West Indies were still placed at a commanding position at 132 for one at the halfway mark.

Jadeja accounted for Andre Russell (22 of 12 balls) winning an LBW shout and then dismissed risky Lewis, with Ashwin taking an excellent catch running backwards from cover.
