He confirmed that the Surface Pro 4 is coming to India by January.
“With the newly launched Microsoft Cloud and with Surface Pro 4, our customers here in India have the digital technology they need to seize incredible new growth and opportunity on a global scale”, he added. The company’s strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its solid stock price performance, increase in net income, reasonable valuation levels, expanding profit margins and good cash flow from operations. The Surface Pro 4 will be Microsoft’s first tablet to officially launch in India.
On the specs front, the Surface Pro 4 has a 12.3-inch PixelTouch display with a resolution of 2736 x 1824 (267 PPI). It is powered by Intel’s sixth-generation Core processors (ranging from Core M3 to Core i7) and is paired with Intel HD Graphics 515, Intel HD Graphics 520, or Intel Iris Graphics.
Nadella said his company was in the business of inventing new experiences around computing-like that of “creating a phone that actually gives a PC-like experience”. The companies will integrate the Paytm app and Paytm Wallet into Cortana to enable consumers to pay for their utility bills and carry out mobile transactions. The project would be in the line with PM Modi’s vision of smart-cities, Nadella said.
Microsoft CEO also said that startups working towards realizing the smart cities government programme will be able to apply for individual access to funds up to $120,000 worth of Azure computing for their smart cities solutions and pilots.
As a further encouragement to use its services, the company has also promised to provide financial assistance of Rs 80 lakh to those startups, who create smart solutions using the company’s Azure cloud platform.
The Indian minister is also expected to address the event and later meet with the Microsoft CEO.
“Arinsal is also called the capital of malnutrition but with an Information and Communications Technology (ICT)-based smart project we can change this”. Fadnavis stated, “Maharashtra has always been a preferred destination for businesses”.
