A video depicting a fake human sacrifice at the famous European Organization for Nuclear Research (referred to as CERN) has surfaced, and CERN has launched an investigation into what it’s calling a “spoof”.

The freaky video which has been circulated online shows several individuals in black cloaks gathering in a main square at Europe’s top physics lab, where a large sized idol of Nataraj, the dancing posture of deity Shiva, is on permanent display.
The video, which has been viewed more than 90,000 times since it was published last week, shows several hooded figures taking part in a mock stabbing of a woman who is lying on the ground.
The statue of the Hindu deity Shiva is on permanent display at the complex, home of the Large Hadron Collider. A CERN spokesperson told The Guardian the whole thing was simply staged by staffers or scientists who may have “let their humor go too far”.
“CERN does not condone this type of spoof, which can give rise to misunderstandings about the scientific nature of our work”, according to the spokeswoman. “CERN does not condone this kind of spoof, which breaches CERN’s professional guidelines, and is now carrying out an internal investigation”.
Asked to detail the security procedures surrounding access to the campus, the spokeswoman said: “IDs are checked systematically at each entry to the site whether it is night or day”. She also implied that people responsible for the prank had access badges.
Geneva police have been notified about what happened on CERN’s campus, however, are not involved into the investigation, AFP reported.

Kali was not available for comment, but everyone knows she does not want her sacrifices stabbed and the ritual needs to be conducted in a grave yard.
