Cesar Azpilicueta backs John Terry to keep performing for Chelsea
It remains to be seen whether the Frenchman’s long-term absence will alter the club’s position on captain John Terry, who has been told there is now no new contract offer on the table.

The 35-year-old captain thanked supporters following the draw with United, but said there had been no communication with the club over his future.
The Blues have been in horrendous form of late, but have shown signs of getting back to their usual best in recent matches, after Dutchman Guus Hiddink took over at the club.
“It’s a hard one”, he told Sky Sports.
Zouma’s injury is a devastating personal blow as he had established himself as a regular in Chelsea’s defence this season and also hoped to feature when France challenged for the Euro 2016 crown on home turf.
Zouma, 21, went to ground in pain in the 56th minute after clearing the ball, and a number of players immediately signalled to the Chelsea bench that the French centre-back could no longer continue.
Chelsea this week tried to suggest there is still ongoing dialogue but Terry says they have made no new attempts to keep him.
“But since I arrived at Chelsea I have learnt a lot from him”. I think whoever is dealing with the discussions didn’t expect the reaction from the fans, but it’s the right one.
Henry, who faced Terry numerous times during his distinguished career with Arsenal and Barcelona, said: “I can not understand why you are keeping that guy in the dark”.
“His desire is there and he’s been showing that desire for Chelsea for a long time”.
