Cesc Fabregas Motivated By Drop from Chelsea Starting XI

Antonio Conte admits he must address Chelsea’s defensive issues and “find a solution” after their 3-0 defeat to Arsenal on Saturday.

“Real Madrid? Maybe they called me or maybe not”.

“I’m sure that Arsenal will fight until the end to win the title because they’re a very good team, [with] young players, great technique, good players with good physical potential and organisation”, he told reporters.

Terry returned to training this week, but Conte says he will not be ready for the game against Arsene Wenger’s men.

Blues fans in the video above were asked after the Leicester City game whether the Spanish playmaker, who made 212 appearances for Arsenal, should be selected to face his old team. In front of Kante will be Oscar and Nemanja Matic despite Cesc Fabregas putting in another good performance when given a chance by Conte, midweek. They gave me everything.

“If I knew that I have no level to play in this team, I would leave, but I’m happy here”.

“John is recovering from a bad injury but I don’t like to talk about players that today didn’t play”, Conte said.

“All my teammates deserve my respect, my coach deserves respect because I know he wants to win and if he doesn’t play me, there is always a reason”. He did, however, concede he was desperate to play as often as possible for Chelsea, despite rumours linking him with a move away from the club. “That leaves me happy after the games”.

Conte accepted his defence was a major concern for the fixture as the Blues have let in 10 goals in seven matches in all competitions but the former Italy coach said it will not be much of a headache to him. A lot. If someone thinks that this season it’s going to be easy. we must work a lot to improve, to change the situation. “The most important thing for Cesc is that he is Chelsea’s player”.

With Chelsea traveling to Arsenal on Saturday, Fabregas has been reminiscing about his 8 years at the Gunnners, and how he still holds them in the highest regard.
