Taco Bell’s corporate parent, Yum!
Millions of drunk, hungry people are about to benefit from Taco Bell’s new partnership with delivery service DoorDash. “We have really been talking about delivery for a while because it’s been the No. 1 most requested thing from our fans”, says Tressie Lieberman, Taco Bell’s vice president of on-demand services. Panera also recently began testing delivery service in Louisville, Ky.
The company has not mentioned about minimum order, however a $3.99 flat costs have been added by it. According to reports, Taco Bell officials didn’t tell in detail how much it is paying to DoorDash for the deal. Online food delivery is a crowded industry, with GrubHub, Munchery, Yelp’s Eat24, Square’s Caviar, Sprig, Sidecar and Uber Technologies all chewing up market share.
After punching in your order on the Palo Alt, Calif.-based tech company’s app or website, DoorDash will put in the order at your Taco Bell, pick it up and drive it to your home or office. In tests, deliveries took about 38 minutes. He also said that Taco Bell would be promoting its delivery test on Snapchat, Periscope, and Twitter.
