Champions League: Arsenal face Barcelona
Having been knocked out of the Last 16 for the last five seasons in succession, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger would have hoped for the draw to be kinder to his team, but the draw failed to oblige the London team.

It is the game between the pacesetters in Spain and Arsenal which most catches the eye, however.
Barcelona director Albert Soler is looking forward to a feast of football over the two legs.
“The Champions League is about details, too, like previous year; if we had everyone available to play against Barcelona in both games it would have been totally different”.
The Ligue 1 champions have just two games left before enjoying two weeks off over the festive period, whereas Chelsea face another four matches before the new year.
He said: “As always, we have the utmost respect”.
“Barcelona are used to playing under pressure in every sense”.
On the other hand, things couldn’t be going much better for the reigning Belgian Pro League champions.
Arsenal Secretary David Miles commented on the situation at a press conference.
On the back of the great win in Athens, we were hoping for a good draw.
Barcelona said they are also expecting a hard tie. “We are ambitious, we have 2½ months to prepare”, Olivier Létang, the PSG sports director, said.
“We know what can happen if you have ten poor minutes on a European night”. Juventus legend Pavel Nedved said he was “confident, even though we know Bayern represent very tough opposition”. They have a very good team, magnificent players and play good football.
The rest of the ties, which see all eight group winners at home in the second legs, feature two-time runners-up Atletico Madrid against 1988 champions PSV Eindhoven, with Benfica, twice former winners, meeting Zenit St Petersburg.
Gent, in their first participation in the competition, will take on Wolfsburg.
First legs are scheduled to take place on 16-17 and 23-24 February with the return matches on 8th and 9th and 15th and 16th of March.
Dynamo Kiev beat Manchester City in the 2010-11 Europa League last 16, with striker Mario Balotelli sent off for the English side.

The draw system means no team can play any club from its own domestic competition or from its Champions League qualifying groups. PSG came out as the victors last time round and, with the current form of the Premier League champions, it seems a really hard fixture for them.
