Champions League is the Real deal, says Madrid’s Bale

Manchester City star Pablo Zabaleta has joked about how the Citizens can deal with Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo in their UEFA Champions League encounter on Tuesday night.

A Federation Internationale de Football Association official for over 10 years, Çakir has climbed the ranks and is usually assigned to the biggest matches, including the Champions League Final between Barcelona and Juventus last season. “The way we have improved as a club and a team and worked so hard for so many years as a group of players, trying to make the club bigger and better every season. We need to get a positive result at the Etihad and then being in front of our home fans at the Bernabeu knowing exactly what we need to do is alway a great help for us”.

“We played them four times in the Champions League and each time it was 0-0, so defensively we must have been doing something right”.

“I think that the most important thing is to score away from home, said Bale, who scored twice as Real came back to beat Rayo Vallecano 3-2 in La Liga at the weekend”.

“I do dream about that because they are such a great team”, he said.

“It would be a dream when we get to the final so we’re really hoping for that”.

City also has a major doubt over Toure Yaya who appeared to suffer a thigh injury in Saturday’s 4-0 cruise over Stoke City and his absence robbed the English side of control and firepower in midfield for what promises to be an open and exciting semi-final.

The Spanish giants’ last visit to the Etihad, in November 2012, saw them record a 1-1 draw that eliminated City from the competition.

“But in a semi-final, anything can happen”.

“City can’t afford to be hypnotised by one guy when the two sides clash on Tuesday”.
