Elsewhere, Chelsea without Mikel Obi secured a slim 2-1 win over Dynamo Kiev while in Greece Brown Ideye was in the thick of action as Olympiakos etched closer to qualifying for the next phase of the Champions League folwoing their 2-1 win over Dinamo Zagreb.
The victory gave Bayern nine points atop Group F, while Arsenal has three.
They must win their final two group games to have any hope of progressing to the last 16 and Cech believes anything is possible if they keep their heads up.
“No matter what percentage we have, we have to dig in for the chance to qualify”.
We played to our strengths: possession is very important for me.
Wenger balked when asked if that was the worst defensive display he has witnessed since taking over as Arsenal coach in 1996.
“The fans read newspapers, watch TV, listen to pundits, commentators and it was unbelievable what they were saying: ‘We want you here”.
“No matter how many we have, we have to give it all for a chance to qualify. It’s a small chance but…[we] have to realise with that kind of performance that we had today that our chances are minimal”.
Arsenal face an anxious wait to discover whether Laurent Koscielny will remain on the club’s extensive injury list for the north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur.
The run means Spurs start Sunday’s game five points behind their rivals in the Barclays Premier League table and Kane is expecting Arsenal to feel added motivation after Wednesday’s heavy defeat.
‘It’s incredible – really incredible how few points they have got, ‘ he said.
“That’s top level sport”.
“We are going to have great away support there, as we always do, and we are looking forward to it. From tonight we have no more injuries, apart from in their heads we have no more injuries”.
“Bayern dominated as usual but they scored an early goal and that hurt us”, Arsenal captain Per Mertesacker said.
Remember when Arsenal beat Bayern Munich and everyone thought the German team wasn’t as scary as first thought?
“It’s tough to take but in a way you have to accept that the team you were playing against was superior to us today in everything they did, especially in the first half”.
“We have to be stepping on the gas all the time”.
“We also have to focus on Sunday and turn up with a different performance”.

“People wanted us to show a reaction from the defeat in London and that is what we did”.
