Braiden Sunshine is the curly-haired, bespectacled teenage contestant on Season 9 of The Voice.
Tonight’s episode begins now – Refresh Page often to get the most current updates! He performed “Never Tear Us Apart” by Inxs. Pharrell said he nearly felt like Mitchell had written the song himself because of how well he mastered it. The first performance was delivered by Blaine Mitchell from Team Adam. Three artists with the lowest number of votes will be eligible for the “Instant Save”. Who are you voting for? There’s an app you can use to vote that’s on Google Play or iTunes. It’s a whole new voting thing this year. We’ll see how it works. Check out her full performance of the tune above. She’s doing Adele’s Hello which is brand new.
“Team Gwen overall is whipping the crap out of Team Adam”, he said cheekily. By the time she’s done Gwen and most of the audience are on their feet.
A former member of Team Blake, Blaine has flourished with Adam and Blake finally gave credit where credit’s due, saying that Adam was able to “de-hillbilly” Blaine, which has worked in his favor. The Maroon 5 frontman couldn’t help sing his artist’s praise: “You really showed people tonight who you were and what you wanted to do and what you wanted to accomplish”. She took on the song with the appropriate amount of attitude and quickly showed herself to be one of the better stage performers of the season. “Your voice is like if Trisha Yearwood’s voice and Carrie Underwood’s voice could have a voice together”. At the moment, he’s the contestant to beat now that his coach used him to declare that she is “so winning right now”. She let loose in her first live performance, feeling comfortable behind the microphone and crowd already. She took on the challenge of the song and did an exceptional job. Gwen is on her feet as is the audience.
Jeffery Austin may have been singing a Jessie Ware song, but he has proven once again that his voice echoes a few of the contemporary male greats. Although he was a little anxious that the song would typecast him as a soul ballad guy, his coach reassured him that there’s a way to make the song his own.
After eight seasons, The Voice can officially consider itself an old hand in the reality game.
Meanwhile, Team Gwen’s comeback artist Ellie Lawrence performed her own rendition of Elle King’s “Ex’s & Oh’s”.
Sam Smith, watch your back. It’s a hard song to sing, as most Adele songs are. Adam says his wife is obsessed with him a little too much for his comfort.
Amy Vachal, “The Way You Look Tonight” – Did Amy rise to the top of contenders?
The ska singer followed that advice, displaying her signature sassiness, but her vocals couldn’t live up to the other singers on Monday night.
Love has spent most of her time in the competition thus far relying on her booming voice and incredible soul. “The way that you just sang your way around the stage and those lovely, super colorful runs were just effortless”. Whether this performance was enough to win America’s votes could be an issue for Keith. Team Gwen’s Viktor Kiraly is up next. He’s doing All Around the World by Lisa Stansfield – what a great 90s song. Viktor does great with it – he’s grooving and his voice is so smooth. Adam says Viktor has arrived and says he missed him on his team.
Team Adam’s comeback is next.
Looks like Adam’s giving this young singer a second – no wait, is it third? – chance.
“If there’s one thing that nobody can take away fro you is you gave 150% of yourself into your performance”, said Blake Shelton. Adam says he was the only chair that turned for him and then Blake got him and he got him back with the save. He says Chance has been through so much whether he’s on the show or not (that sounds dire not encouraging). As usual, he’s wonderful and his voice just takes over the stage and the room. “They would if you had money”, Rihanna teased him. Adam said he is not a singer, but he is a figure and everyone draws this awesome energy from and honored to be a part of it.

From the start, she was one of Adam’s biggest wins in the blind auditions, when all signs pointed to her heading straight down Blake Country Lane. That’s it for tonight.
