Children donating must make a card for the troops along with their candy and will each receive a toothbrush kit to undo all the Halloween candy damage.
A Fremont dental practice is redefining the phrase “put your money where your mouth is”.
Candy will be collected from 3-6 p.m. Tuesday at Fremont Family Dentistry, 710 E. 22nd St. The candy must be unopened and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
“Ditch the candy, that’s what we’re saying”. One is to collect donations to give to troops overseas through Operation Gratitude and the other is keeping children healthy.
Kids also got to write letters to the troops to along with the candy.

Wall says the organization packages the candy along with clothes and food in holiday boxes to ship to soldiers in November. For every pound of candy received, the supporter will receive $1.
