According to newly released police documents obtained by Boston.com, Jones arrived at the Foxborough police station early Sunday morning shirtless and appeared to be “actively praying or worshipping” in the parking lot.
Edelman has missed the last seven games because of a broken foot suffered against the New York Giants on November 15. So is wide receiver Danny Amendola, who flourished in Edelman’s absence but had knee problems late in the season.
On Saturday morning, team president Jonathan Craft said Jones “handled this appropriately, assuming the incident was going to happen”.
Jones expects to play in the game and has participated in each practice this week.
Jones was hospitalized on Sunday after he walked to the Foxboro police station while experiencing a bad reaction to a substance that was reported to be synthetic marijuana.
Thursday afternoon, Jones briefly spoke to the media at his locker after practice.
Jones said he wouldn’t get into any details while apologizing for whatever did go on a few days ago.
“I feel the need to apologize to everyone”, Jones said. “That’s the way with it is in the organization and me personally and I don’t think that will ever change”, Belichick said.

Things didn’t go the Chiefs’ way for most of the opening 30 minutes and Kansas City found itself down 14-3 when it got the ball back with just over three minutes to go before the half. Reid is just 1-4 against Belichick’s Patriots, including a 24-21 loss in Super Bowl XXXIX when Reid was coaching the Eagles. “That means nothing. What I’m anxious about is getting that “W” in the playoffs”. “We look forward to the challenge of playing them”.
